TRAINING ON “PUBLIC POLICY: EXPERIENCES AND PRACTICES” IN CAN GIO DISTRICT, HO CHI MINH CITY (10/2017)
On the days of 6, 7 and 8/10/2017, RED organized a training course on "Public Policy: Experiences and Practices" in Can Gio District, Ho Chi Minh City.
More than 30 participants attending are journalists, officers of social organizations (CSOs), ... from TP. Ho Chi Minh City and Southern provinces.
The lecturers include public policy expert Nguyen Chi Dung (Chairman of RED Science council), Dr. Do Thien Anh Tuan (Fulbright Vietnam) and Dr. Trinh Hoa.
The content includes key issues surrounding public policy: practical surveys, existing policy research; identify and assess the need for adjustment of public policy; impact assessment and data collection to argue for policy; the drafting process and the gathering of comments in accordance with the law, how to make evidence-based policy recommendations; the ability to write policy articles to convey the message to the government and the public effectively; Integrate gender and environment in policy formulation.
